Installing Kali Linux in VMWare
Kali Linux is very famous and robust Operating System for the security researchers and pentester's as it has lot of tools to perform pentest. So it is important to learn how to use kali linux and it is recommended.
2. After downloading, open VMware and follow the steps:
3. You can use "Custom" option if you have enough knowledge of using VMware otherwise select "Typical" and click on "Next"

5. You can change the name of VM and its installation path
6. By default you will see that "Maximum disk size (GB) is 20.0" change it to 40 GB as you will need some space to create partition or installing extra packages like chrome browser, external scripts, etc.
7. Changing the hardware configuration like RAM, Processor, etc. Here you just have to change the RAM, 512 MB to 1024 MB.

9. Select "Graphical Install" for GUI installation in Kali Linux
10. Select Your language and click on "Continue" to proceed the installation
11. Select your country and if your country is not in the list then select "Other" option and click "Continue"
12. Select your keyboard configuration and click on "Continue"
13. Processes like loading installer, checking up the network and checking up the hardware configration will appear in this step and wait untill the process gets complete
14. After completion of above process you will be asked to enter the hostname
15. You can enter the domain name if you have any but if you are creating a home network or not having domain name then it will be fine to leave a blank
16. Now its time to secure your user account by entering the password
17. Select the "Guided - use entire disk" if you are new to any Linux distribution. You can use other options but only if you are aware of this options
18. It is showing Partition Disk which is of 42.9 GB SCSI Hard drive

20. So here, guided partition has created two partition named primary (/) and second one is logical which is swap. Want to know more about Disk Partitions
21. Tick on "Yes" and Click on "Continue" to write the changes to disk
22. Finally the installation begins and it takes several minutes to complete the installation
23. Select "No" as we dont have any network mirror for the newer packages. But if you have any than you may enter and this settings can be change later after installation

25. Finally Kali Linux has been installed in your host machine and you are ready to use the most famous OS for pentesting
26. This is starting screen of Kali Linux and select the first option and press "Enter" to boot the Kali and finally you are done with the installtion
